In
the mountains as a solo traveller
Whatever type of Icicle holiday
you are on, be it climbing, skiing, or trekking, you are
being guided in mountains and they are a magical place,
where sharing the experience with others really adds to
it. This page outlines our support of solo travellers. |

Travelling
Solo
Over half of our bookings
are from people travelling by themselves. In fact
it is normally three quarters of the bookings. The
composition of most groups is usually a fairly even
split between men and women. One of the great benefits
of our trips is that they are designed to allow
you to be independent when you want to be, but also
provide security and company whenever you choose. |

No
single supplements
If you are travelling on your
own with Icicle, you will automatically be put in
a shared accommodation, with a fellow member of
the group. Most importantly, you do not pay any
additional supplement for travelling as a single
person. If you wish for single accommodation, this
can be arranged as an upgrade on most trips. Our
focus is on you having a great holiday, where the
group bonds well. |

It's
like being with friends
Similar types of people are
attracted to our style of courses, treks and expeditions,
so you'll have plenty in common with other members
of the group before you even meet. In addition there's
nothing like a challenge to bring people together
- a night in a snowhole, ice climbing for the first
time, or standing on a summit. Many people make
friendships that last well beyond the course. |

Some
client feedback
From the feedback page: "excellent
with supremely capable people who were very responsive
and sensitive to individual needs", "we
formed a close bond with everyone in the group and
came to look upon the tour leader as a friend more
than anything else", "this was definately
the best activity holiday I've had in a very long
time. I achieved everything I had hoped to, and
more besides". |
