overview

Led
by qualified snowshoeing guides, who can
show you some of the best areas in the Chamonix
valley and surrounding mountains. We offer
these tailor made days on demand from December
to April. If you prefer to join a group,
then consider our Chamonix
Snowshoe Week or one of
our other scheduled snowshoe trips.
|
|
Meet
your guide for kit checks, snowshoe fitting,
and a weather and safety briefing. Drive along
the valley to the start of the trek. You quickly
master the use of snowshoes and then off you
go! Full days meet at 09:00 and are up to
7 hours in duration. Half days are 3.5 hrs
(09:00-12:30 or 13:00-16:30). |
|
Snowshoe
guides can lead a maximum of six people per
guide in a group. There are no minimum numbers,
so as soon as you book, your trip is guaranteed
to run. This is bespoke tailor made guiding
just for you. |
|

There
are few things more magical than an evening snowsho
through silent snowy forests by moon-light, with
stars twinkling in the night sky.
|
For
those after a more challenging or physical day,
there are lots of peaks that you can summit on
snowshoes in the Mont Blanc massif.
|
You
finish and evening trek at a mountain gite and
try local Alpine dishes such as fondue. These
trips need to be booked at least two weeks in
advance.

Our
snowshoeing advice page (click
here) outlines the key equipment you should
bring. Snowshoes are loaned FREE of charge anyway, as
are avalanche safety beacons, so all you need to arrive
with are walking clothes, waterproofs, a small rucksack
and well worn in walking boots (not trekking shoes). |

Any further questions? |

A
key part of choosing a company is being able to come and
talk about your plans with an experienced course advisor
face to face. In an increasingly virtual world, we know
our clients value speaking to real people, getting open
and honest advice. The vast majority of our clients are
British, and our office and outdoor store is based in
Windermere in the English Lake District.
Get
in contact to arrange a meeting, and come in for a coffee
to discuss your course in person with a trip
advisor. |
