Chamonix snowshoeing days 2024
Private guided snowshoeing day walks in Chamonix
Snowshoeing in the Aravis, near Chamonix
Course overview

Led by qualified snowshoeing guides, who can show you some of the best areas in the Chamonix valley and surrounding mountains. We offer these tailor made days on demand from December to April. If you prefer to join a group, then consider our Chamonix Snowshoe Week or one of our other scheduled snowshoe trips.

Meet your guide for kit checks, snowshoe fitting, and a weather and safety briefing. Drive along the valley to the start of the trek. You quickly master the use of snowshoes and then off you go! Full days meet at 09:00 and are up to 7 hours in duration. Half days are 3.5 hrs (09:00-12:30 or 13:00-16:30).
Snowshoe guides can lead a maximum of six people per guide in a group. There are no minimum numbers, so as soon as you book, your trip is guaranteed to run. This is bespoke tailor made guiding just for you.
Our private group snowshoeing day package includes all the following elements;
  Guides - Fully qualified UIMLA International Mountain Leaders & Accompagnateurs. Tailor made - Snowshoe treks are available every day from December to April. Suitable for all abilities.
  Transport - Door to door service to and from the hike from your Chamonix valley accommodation. Rental - We provide all snowshoeing equipment (snowshoes, trekking poles, & avalanche safety kit).
  Safety - Leaders carry safety kit including first aid kit, emergency radio / phone, and group shelter. FREE - Icicle buff for everyone in the group. These are great pieces of kit to keep you warm!
Prices are in total, not per person, and include all of the detailed elements listed above.

Ideas for tailor made snowshoeing days / half days with a difference...
Many groups want to tweak their snowshoeing day(s) to make their days completely tailored to them. Here are some ideas of days that we have organised recently. Get in touch if you have some ideas...
Moonlight Snowshoeing
Snowshoe Summits
Moonlight trek & fondue
There are few things more magical than an evening snowsho through silent snowy forests by moon-light, with stars twinkling in the night sky.
For those after a more challenging or physical day, there are lots of peaks that you can summit on snowshoes in the Mont Blanc massif.
You finish and evening trek at a mountain gite and try local Alpine dishes such as fondue. These trips need to be booked at least two weeks in advance.
