is the key equipment list for our Alpine
off piste and also the ski touring courses.
On all trips, a detailed course specific
kit list is sent upon booking.

Piste Skiing Courses
- Off piste skis e.g. 80mm min wide at waist
- Ski rucksack of about 20 litres maximum
- Helmet (optional, but very good in trees!)
- Ski poles (fixed stronger than telescopic)
- Off piste ski boots and bindings

Ski
Touring courses
- Touring skis fitted with touring bindings
- Ski touring boots (not downhill boots)
- Ski crampons (couteau) and ski skins
- Telescopic trekking poles with snow basket
- Rucksack with ski straps, up to 35 litres
- Head torch (LED style is lightest type)

Glacier
& Avalanche Safety
- Harness and classic ice axe (without leash)
- 12 point crampons with anti-balling plates
- 1 x 120cm Sling, 1 x karabiner, 1 x prussic
- Avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel |

Kit & Clothing
- Light colour long sleeve wicking base layer
- Ski trousers with side vents for touring
- Mid layer fleece jacket / gillet
- Waterproof jacket (hard or soft shell)
- Fleece hat and gloves, and sunhat / cap
- Synthetic or down insulation jacket
- Goggles & fitting Factor 4 sun glasses
- Neoprane face mask in case of wind
- Thick waterproof over gloves
- Water bottle (not bladders as they freeze)
- Basic blister kit, Aspirin, suncream |
